Week of: April 17-21, 2023


READING: Read story each night.  Study vocabulary definitions and spelling words.  Students are to do spelling words in ABC order to be turned in each Friday for a homework grade. READING tests will be given on Fridays so please make sure your child is here unless it is an emergency, as they will fall behind.

Simple Machines

SOL 3.2 The student will investigate and understand simple machines and their uses. Key ideas

MONDAY:

Introduce Unit 10 “Simple and Compound Machines”

TUESDAY:

Do Virtual lesson 2: “What Are Some Other Simple Machines?” Think Central

 

WEDNESDAY:

**To Access Virtual Lessons on Think Central**

Go to Clever and get on “Think Central”. Click “My Library” then on the bottom of the left side click “Science” Then click on “Science Fusion Student Access”.  This will give the students access to the virtual lessons and labs. We will begin on Unit 1 and do each lesson in class.  If your child is absent,  they may do these lessons/labs on their own.  The student edition (same as their book) is also available on Think Central.
